Sharing Grace and Support to Local Orphanages
As December arrived and the year 2020 drew to a close, Mebel International took the opportunity to reflect on the importance of community and giving. Recently, our team was contacted by a Catholic priest with whom we have shared a long-standing relationship. He reached out to inform us about the urgent needs of the Bhakti Asih Multiple Disability Orphanage, a facility located in close proximity to our manufacturing site
Upon meeting with the priest and the dedicated caregivers, we conducted an observation of the facility to understand how we could best assist. We discovered that the children lacked individual storage for their private clothes and personal belongings. This lack of furniture was largely due to a decline in donations during the global pandemic
In a communal living environment, having separate, clean storage spaces is a vital component in preventing the spread of illness and maintaining high hygiene standards
We feel that we’ve been given a chance and privilege to help those who are in need. Therefore, we create a specially designed locker, total 36 lockers for the children
As an established Indonesia furniture manufacturer, we recognized that we were in a unique position to help. We believe that our expertise in bespoke furniture should not only serve the hospitality industry but also support the most vulnerable members of our local community
Besides this orphanage, we’ve also helped some other social organization and orphanage around our company, through scholarships and any other kinds of help. In the foreseeable future, we are also looking forward to reach out more orphanage or institution in needs, and help them with anything that we could do, give, and help.

In the past, we have extended our support through scholarships and various forms of aid to nearby institutions. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to reaching out to more organizations in need.
