Our Stance Against Modern Slavery

Modern slavery remains a critical challenge within the global business landscape. As a severe violation of human rights, this inhumane practice has no place in a modern, ethical economy. Many international governing bodies and organizations are implementing rigorous policies to eliminate these abuses, and at Mebel International, we are fully committed to this cause

While specific legislation regarding modern slavery in Indonesia may currently occupy a complex legal space, we have prioritized ethical operations since our inception. We align our internal policies with stringent international frameworks, including standards modeled after the UK Modern Slavery Act. As an established Indonesian furniture manufacturer, we believe that craftsmanship and human dignity must go hand-in-hand.

To ensure our operations remain entirely free from exploitation, we have implemented the following core mandates:

1 We maintain a strict minimum age requirement. Every individual employed at our facility must be at least 18 years of age.

2. We protect the autonomy of our workforce by ensuring that every employee retains full control over their personal documentation, including government IDs and passports. Our company strictly prohibits the withholding or interference of these private documents under any circumstances.

3. We guarantee the right to leave. Every team member is entitled to sick, maternal, or paternal leave for health and personal emergencies. Employees are never forced to work while suffering from critical health conditions or during recovery periods

Beyond these specific anti-slavery policies, we hold a deep responsibility for the wellness of our 200+ employees. We maintain this commitment through rigorous security systems, standardized safe working procedures, and comprehensive first aid and medical response protocols. Mebel International accepts full responsibility for any workplace hazards or accidents, ensuring that our team receives the necessary support for health, safety, and recovery

Through these consistent actions, we aim to contribute to a global standard where business growth never comes at the cost of human dignity. We believe in creating a professional environment that is free from unfairness, ensuring that our bespoke furniture is produced in an atmosphere of respect
